Karingal Neighbourhood House (KNH) Governance Committee is seeking nominations for membership from people with a positive commitment to developing this vital community-run organisation.
No experience is necessary, just a passion for helping the community grow strong and a commitment to participating in regular meetings (about 2 hours per fortnight).
The Governance Committee is responsible for managing the service and its paid staff and for ensuring that the Karingal Place Neighbourhood Centre gives local people what they want and need. Committee members are volunteers.
Karingal Neighbourhood House
now located at Karingal Place Neighbourhood Centre is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can gather to meet each other, learn something new, share skills and experiences or get information and support. It has been a vital part of Karingal for 30 years.
The current committee is a small but dedicated group of males & females from different backgrounds and professions (including parents and home-makers) who live in Karingal and elsewhere.
KNH is located in modern, purpose-built facilities at Karingal PLACE Neighbourhood Centre, Ashleigh Ave.
