Thin single-seat experimental plane was arriving Phoenix 20:55 local time after a distance of 1,113 kilometers for a total of 15 hours and 55 minutes from San Francisco passed through the Mojave Desert Solar Impulse project by page.

With conventional aircraft that distance can be reached in two hours, but the Solar Impulse 2 that rely on solar energy takes much longer because flying with such speed the car, making the pilot had to practice meditation and hypnosis in order to stay awake for a long time.

One of the founders of the project, Andre Borschberg, the plane ride in the cockpit is very small.

"I made it to Phoenix, an amazing flight passing through the Mojave Desert," said Borschberg at Twitter.

As reported by Reuters news agency, he and co-pilots Bertrand Piccard piloted the plane turns it on each segment of the trip is expected to be flying around the world's first solar-powered aircraft.

Previous Borschberg piloting the aircraft on a flight from Japan to Hawaii through the Pacific in July last year, was in the air for nearly 118 hours.

The flight was a record-breaking fly solo nonstop for 76 hours printed in 2006 by the American adventurer Steve Fossett with Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer and set a new record time and the flight range of solar-powered aircraft.
