Heart attack and stroke is a medical condition which has
been difficult to predict. However, what happens if there is a tool or
application that can calculate when someone will have a heart attack and stroke
as well ?
National Health Service
(NHS) England, has just launched a controversial calculator application that
supposedly can estimate the arrival time of a heart attack or stroke.
Health experts say, the tool
is expected to be an invaluable tool "warning sign" for everyone.
This calculator will also be the trigger for someone to leave a risky
lifestyle.
To use this calculator, a
person is required to basic data such as age, weight, height, smoking habits,
some other medical details, and a description of family history who have had a
heart attack before the age of 60 years.
This tool can be accessed
online through the official site or application NHS car. "Understand the
age of the heart will be a signal to someone who may be at risk. It will be a
sign to react and pull through lifestyle changes," said Professor John
Deanfield, NHS cardiologist who helped the development of the tool, as quoted
from page telegraph. (PR)
